Irish Artist Martina O’Brien was born in England, she grew up in Co.Kildare and now lives and works in Dublin. She has studied in Ballyfermot College of Further Education, NCAD and IADT. She has had several solo exhibitions and has been involved in group shows both in Ireland and Internationally. Her primary interest is in painting, drawing and mosaic-making and her current work is concerned with water as a physical phenomenon, the source of life, not only as a reflection of a mood or feeling but also as a destructive force on occasion.
